The Tooth, The Whole Tooth, And Nothing But The Tooth: A Guide To Dental Checkups

We get it - dental checkups might not be the most exciting thing on your to-do list. But hey, neither is cleaning out your gutters or doing your taxes, but those things are very important too (we hope you're doing them, by the way).

So, in the spirit of making dental checkups a little more fun, we've come up with a few tips to help you make the most of your time in the dentist's chair:

  1. Practice your small talk (we promise we're not trying to be nosy)

  2. Wear your comfiest socks (because why not?)

  3. Make a mental list of all the delicious food you're going to eat after your appointment (Eden Grill, anyone?)

  4. Count the number of ceiling tiles (hey, it's better than counting sheep)

  5. Think of your favorite tooth puns (our personal fave: "tooth be told, you're doing great")

  6. Watch HGTVs Drew and Jonathan renovate yet another house (why does this always seem to be on in our office?)

But in all seriousness, dental checkups are important for keeping your teeth and gums healthy, and catching any potential issues before they become bigger problems. So, whether you're a seasoned pro or a newbie to the dental checkup game, don't skip your appointments - your smile will thank you. And who knows, maybe you'll even have a little fun in the process.
