Has anyone ever told you that your breath smells bad?

Halitosis, also known as “bad breath” may be related to:
- a systemic disease
- debris in the oral cavity
Bad breath is unpleasant and can have a bitter, sweet, and sour odour.
Main causes of bad breath include::
smoking,
nose and throat infections,
improper oral hygiene,
medications,
xerostomia (dry mouth),
systemic diseases,
eating foods like garlic & onions
Brushing, flossing, and using a mouth rinse can temporarily cover up this unpleasant odour .
THERE ARE WAYS YOU CAN REDUCE BAD BREATH:
proper medical care for nose & throat infections
brush twice a day, every day
floss at least once a day
use a waterpix
microbial mouth rinse like Listerine
tongue cleanercleaner
eat nutritious well-balanced meals

The most common cause of halitosis is poor oral hygiene. Keep in mind that once you start implementing good oral hygiene if you are experiencing bad breath, it can take time for it to go away but keeping on top of your oral hygiene will have you pointed in the right direction. Taking care of your mouth is essential in preventing dental disease and to prevent bad breath!
